Black Hole Sunset
According to an article in the Daily Galaxy, claims have been made that the super massive black hole in the center of our galaxy isn’t there. The claim comes from physicist George Chapline of the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics. If this seems like an impossible question to answer with our current technology, you might be surprised. Chapline should have his answer soon. Very soon. Using the Event Horizon Telescope, a virtual telescope the diameter of the Earth, Chapline expects to affirm his strongheld theory that there is absolutely nothing in the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. My question is, what is holding the galaxy together, if not a supermassive black hole?
